Lineshaft Conveyor
A light duty minimum pressure accumulating conveyor consists of rollers driven by individual elastomeric urethane belts from a common drive shaft. The driving torque available at each driven roller is provided by mounting Delrin belt pulleys or spools on the drive shaft. Minimum pressure accumulation is obtained by allowing the drive spools to “SLIP” on the drive shaft when a part is stopped on the conveyor. The friction between the part and the carrying rollers stops the rollers, belts and drive spools, while the shaft continues to rotate.
